Valdosta State University is a four-year, traditional public university that is offering in-state tuition rate to all Florida students (The school is located in South Georgia).Valdosta State University’s free application week is October 14th-22nd! If a student applies on one of those dates, there will be no application fee. After October 22nd, the $40 fee will be required to submit the application.

Share these instructions with the students who want to apply, it can be a little confusing for Florida residents.

Application Instructions:
1. Apply at www.valdosta.edu/apply. You will need to make an account on GA Futures (when you click apply “now”, you will be taken to the GA Futures website) and there is a $40 Fee. GA Futures can be a little confusing for our Florida Students, so please use the following instructions. Ask me questions if you get confused anywhere; you can always save the application and continue it later: Create a GAfutures account and enter all information as an out of state student. Once you have an account click on "College Planning" and then "College Applications". You will see all Georgia schools there and Valdosta State University is one of them. When you get to the end of the app you will have to select "No" where it asks about in-state tuition. Once we get your application in to our office, we will fix your records to show that you will be receiving the border state waiver and in-state tuition.

2. Send VSU your ACT or SAT scores. Those can be done through their respective websites. You’ll need the codes, which are as follows. SAT: 5855 and ACT: 874

3. Send VSU your high school transcript. Talk with your guidance counselor about getting this done. It can be mailed to:

Office of Admissions
1500 North Patterson Street
Valdosta GA, 31698

******* VSU does not need immunization forms or VLP to make a decision! Those can be handled after acceptance.*******
