Valerie Cope is a former high school graduate of Booker T. Washington High School.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University.

She received a Masters Degree in Education from the University of West Florida and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Troy University.

Bright Futures Update

New for the class of 2021:

 Bright Futures Florida Medallion Scholarship (BFFMS) students enrolled in an associate degree program at a Florida College System (FCS) institution will receive 100 percent of tuition and specific fees. Upon completion, a student may transfer their award to another institution and receive 75 percent of tuition and specific fees.

Important Graduation  information

Graduation is Friday, June 4, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at the Pensacola Bay Center. Graduation will be live-streamed via YouTube at the following link: https://youtu.be/qTBswdS7SM0

All parents and students should review the 2021 General Graduation Information Document below.

We are one month away from your day of celebration, and we are so proud of all of your accomplishments!  

The Graduation Ceremony will be held at the Pensacola Bay Center on Friday, June 4th at 9 a.m.  Graduates, you should arrive by 8 a.m.  

After the Graduation Ceremony on June 4th, between the hours of 1 and 3 p.m., you may return to the school to pick up your diploma.  

On May 24th, you will each receive a graduation envelope with stoles, cords, graduation programs, and other important graduation information.  

Seniors who owe money for books, uniforms, dues or other expenses will not be allowed to take part in the graduation ceremony. 

  • Herff Jones will be on campus to distribute cap and gowns on May 13th during all lunches, 10:17 a.m. to 12:27 p.m.  Seniors who have outstanding fees and fines, excluding current issued textbooks and chromebook, will not receive his or her cap and gown.

  • Seniors Honors Presentation will be virtual and will air on June 1, 2021

  • 2021 Project Graduation will be at Sam’s Fun City on June 4th, 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., tickets go on sale on May 13th (and)

  • Final Exams are May 19th through May 24th. No students are permitted on campus after May 24th.   

  • Make your Transcript requests with Mrs. Lori Werdann, in the Front Office, in a timely manner, and don’t forget to check our web page for additional posted information about graduation.

Senior Dues - $20.00 Should be paid to Mrs. Kelley in Room 240. Dues cover Senior-only events during the year and senior end-of-year activities including, but not limited to: senior video, senior breakfast, senior-only events during the year at the Senior Café, senior honors and recognition at Honors Night and Graduation.
