    Welcome, Wildcats!

    We are flying into the future this year at Booker T. Washington High School! The warning bell rings at 8:25 a.m. Students will report directly to Homeroom for the first week of school in order to receive information packets; data information sheets; and other important announcements. Homeroom rosters are posted around school, and teachers will be in the hallway to assist students as needed. It's going to be a great 2018/2019 school year!

    Save the Date - Title 1 Parent Night "Flying Into the Future"

    On Tuesday, October 2nd we will host our first parent involvement session of the 2018/2019 school year. This evening begins at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. A light dinner will be served by our culinary students. During this event, we will share information pertaining to the following:

    1. Graduation requirements

    2. Response to Intervention and Positive Behavior Support process at Washington

    3. The Parent Portal and Focus Grade book.

    The evening is scheduled to last until 8:00 p.m. Because we are serving a light dinner, reservations are highly recommended. Please RSVP by Thursday, September 27th to our principal’s secretary, Ms. VanBemmel. Her extension is 222 and her email address is

    Chromebook Information for Incoming Freshmen and New Students

    All incoming freshmen and new students will be issued a Chromebook at the start of the 2018/2019 school year. In order for a student to receive a Chromebook, his or her parents must complete the Chromebook Contract and view the Chromebook Contract film clip. Both items are linked below:

    Mrs. Carla Ross has been named Escambia County School District's Teacher of the Year. In honor of her outstanding commitment to the students at Booker T.     Ms. Broom and her students get CUBED

    Check out Ms. Broom and our Washington High School students' CUBED installation in Downtown Pensacola. CUBED, an al fresco exhibit of artwork displayed on each of a cube’s four “walls," is located in Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza. Washington High School is the only high school in the county featured in this project.

Thank you, Mrs. Wilson, for transforming our media center into an innovative and creative space where students can creatively express themselves while learning and engaging in literacy!
