DECA Gives Back!

DECA collected 62 units of blood at their second blood drive of the school year on November 16, 2017. This collection is enough to save 186 lives. Thank you to all who donated! The next blood drive is scheduled for February 15, 2018.

Welcome, Members First Credit Union, to Washington!

All Booker T. Washington High School students and faculty are welcome to open an account and patron our on-site credit union, which is open daily during fourth and fifth period.

Overview of Marketing and Entrepreneurship

This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Marketing, Sales and Service career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Marketing, Sales and Service career cluster.

What is DECA?

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges. DECA's programs and activities have constantly evolved as we use the latest technology and apply cutting edge educational research. At Washington High School, students obtain real-life experience through our school Cat Shack and working in our on-campus Members First Credit Union.
